Arsenal

BREAKING: Arsenal still have a VERY CLEAR OPPORTUNITY to land Victor Osimhen to the Emirates Stadium in a sensational swap deal- Mikel Arteta is keen on the Nigerian striker and Arsenal could pull a swap deal for the goal-scoring monster if they want to

Victor Osimhen has long been linked with a move to Arsenal, and the Gunners now have the opportunity to try and use Napoli’s interest in Folarin Balogun to work out a swap deal.

One of the most impressive things about Arsenal last season was how they shared the goals across the front line. Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka all scored 15 goals each, while Gabriel Jesus managed 11. Eddie Nketiah and Granit Xhaka scored nine a piece.

Now, imagine they had a striker who would guarantee 20 or 25 goals a season. That man could be Osimhen

Arsenal should try to pull off a Victor Osimhen-Folarin Balogun swap deal
If Victor Osimhen leaves Napoli this summer, it will be one of the biggest transfers of the entire window.

The Nigerian is the biggest reason why the Partenopei ended their 33-year wait to lift the Scudetto. He scored 30 goals and provided five assists in 38 appearances in all competitions, and he is a wanted man.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are all among the clubs interested in signing Osimhen this summer, but Napoli will not let him go until they find a replacement

The Mirror claimed recently that Folarin Balogun is being eyed by the Serie A champions as a replacement for Osimhen, and they are set to battle it out with fellow Italian side AC Milan for his signature.

If Napoli want Balogun and Arsenal could do with a striker like Osimhen, surely a player-plus-cash offer from Edu could be an option in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Balogun is almost certain to leave Arsenal this summer, and he would help bring Osimhen’s price down.

The Insider’s View:

Arsenal really should consider signing a new striker this season.

As good as Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard are, neither are prolific goalscorers like Manchester City’s Erling Haaland or Tottenham star Harry Kane.

Victor Osimhen, on the other hand, is right up there with the most dangerous forwards in world football, and if there is an opportunity for Arsenal to get him, we should be all over it.

Yes, we know it is unlikely, but a signing like this is what could change the game for Arsenal this summer.
