We will destroy them again: Man city star Jack Grealish says He can’t wait to meet Arsenal in Community Shield-Boost that Man city will thrash Arsenal despite their Big money signings

Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish has said that he is dying to finally win the Community Shield ahead of his side’s clash against Arsenal.

Speaking to The Athletic journalist Sam Lee in an interview, the Englishman touches on all things City, including his relationship with Erling Haaland.

Now, Jack Grealish has gone on to admit that he has a burning desire to win the Community Shield, with the much-awaited contest against Arsenal just being a little over a week away.

Jack Grealish says he is ‘desperate’ to win Community Shield ahead of Manchester City vs Arsenal clash

Since the former Aston Villa captain has signed for the Sky Blues, he has lost the competition twice in two years

While City lost 1-0 to Leicester City in 2021, they were handed a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the previous campaign.

Now, Jack Grealish is determined to finally end the Community Shield hoodoo in recent years with Manchester City, as they prepare to face Arsenal.

“I’ve said to a few of the guys that I’m desperate to win the Community Shield. This is my third year here and I’ve lost two of those finals. I’m desperate. As a footballer, you want to win as much as possible but you also want to win everything once. That’s what I want. At least once! You tick them off, don’t you? I lost out on two and I want one.”

Shows how much of a winning mentality Jack Grealish has

Despite the match-up between Manchester City and Arsenal being an intriguing one, many would be surprised by how much Jack Grealish intends to lift the Community Shield trophy.

After all, the competition is often mocked as a ‘glorified friendly’, with the general consensus being that even winning it should not count towards a team’s trophy haul at the end of the season

In all fairness, there is a hint of truth to these claims as it would be a lie to claim that this piece of silverware holds weight

However, Grealish’s ambition to officially complete club football by getting over the line against the Gunners shows that he has been moulded into a relentless winner at City
