Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly willing to let Albert Sambi Lokonga leave for Burnley.
According to The Mirror (print edition, page 79, July 30, 2023), Burnley are interested in signing Albert Sambi Lokonga from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has “given his blessing” to the 23-year-old midfielder going out this summer.
Burnley and Arsenal are now in talks over a loan transfer of Lokonga, with a deal between the two clubs reportedly close.
Vincent Kompany’s Burnley will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship.
Lokonga worked with Burnley boss Kompany at Anderlecht.
Arteta described the 23-year-old Belgium international midfielder as “a very intelligent player” on Arsenal’s official website in July 2021.

In our opinion, Albert Sambi Lokonga should leave Arsenal for Burnley in the summer transfer window.
If Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta does not fancy Lokonga in his squad for next season, then there is no point in the Belgian staying at the Emirates Stadium and warming the bench.
Burnley will be aiming to make an impact in the Premier League next season.
The Clarets were superb under Kompany last season and dominated the Championship.
Kompany will be determined to maintain that free-flowing footballing style in the Premier League.
If the former Manchester City defender wants Lokonga at Turf Moor, then the Arsenal player should seriously consider a loan move to the Clarets.
Lokonga spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace from Arsenal.
The 23-year-old has been on the books of the Gunners since 2021 when he joined from Belgian club Anderlecht.
The midfielder has made 34 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
