‘Unbelievable’: Eddie Nketiah says Man City have an ‘unreal’ player who would be unstoppable at five-a-side

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has said that he would pick Manchester City attacker Phil Foden in a current all-English five-a-side team.

Speaking to the Three Lions Official YouTube channel, the 24-year-old was quizzed about the players he would pick from England’s squad.

Eddie Nketiah believes Phil Foden would be tailor-made for a five-a-side game.

Eddie Nketiah says Phil Foden would be ‘unbelievable’ at five-a-side

Branded as ‘unreal’ by Rio Ferdinand, the 23-year-old is one of, if not the most technically gifted player the nation has to offer.

As a result, it is natural that several other players would also have picked the treble-winner in their sides.

Eddie Nketiah has done the same when picking Phil Foden in his current all-English five-a-side team, saying, “Phil in the five-a-side would be unbelievable.”

Phil Foden would be impossible to stop in a five-a-side game

Eddie Nketiah has hit the nail on the head as Phil Foden is the type of player who would become an even bigger menace to play against at five-a-side.

Considering such matches are played on smaller pitches as well, the Stockport-born technician’s ability to wriggle out of tight spaces would be a priceless trait.

To add to that, Foden is an incredible dribbler and is also capable of playing in different attacking spaces on the pitch, whilst being remarkably technically secure and press resistant.

While England have several technical players like John Stones, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw to name a few, is anyone better in this respect than Phil Foden?

It would be fair to say that the answer is no and considering the five-time Premier League winner’s experience of playing under Pep Guardiola, he would pass and move oppositions to death as well.
