Sky sport man hammered Casemiro for ‘looking like a 45-year-old’ during Manchester United’s Premier League defeat against Brighton on Saturday

Gabriel Agbonlahor pulled no punches in his scathing verdict on Casemiro’s performance for Manchester United in their 3-1 defeat at home against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Casemiro, 31, was one of the main underperformers in Erik ten Hag’s side, and the Brazilian was taken off just after the hour mark with United already 2-0 down. Casemiro’s replacement Hannibal Mejbri, 20, repaid Ten Hag’s faith by scoring United’s consolation goal from distance.

The Brighton defeat made it three losses in the opening five Premier League games in what’s been a nightmare start for the Dutchman on and off the pitch. Ten Hag has lost Antony and Jadon Sancho in the past week, and has had to deal with injury problems to Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane and new signing Sofyan Amrabat.

Former England striker Agbonlahor once again laid into United on talkSPORT following another dismal performance and result, aiming most of his criticism at Casemiro.

Agbonlahor said: “It was a stroll in the park for Brighton. I am watching the game, at no time did Brighton ever feel like they couldn’t pass it out from the back. No matter who was pressing, they found it so easy to get through and create chances. This was like a training ground game, especially in the second-half.
