‘OUTSTANDING’: GABRIEL MARTINELLI WOWED BY £240,000-A-WEEK ARSENAL PLAYER V MANCHESTER CITY

One of the best players for Arsenal this season has been Declan Rice, and the England international midfielder starred against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Declan Rice started for Arsenal in the Premier League match against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

Rice, who joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window, has been superb and really consistent for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.

And, he played well against City.

Gabriel Martinelli praises Arsenal star Declan Rice vs Manchester City

Gabriel Martinelli heaps praises on his teammate as he thought that the £240,000-a-week (Sportrac) England international midfielder was “outstanding”.

Martinelli said: “When you want your team to play as tactically as today, when your first priority is not giving anything away, you can’t have better player in your team than Declan Rice.

“He has been outstanding today.”

My View: Declan Rice impressive for Arsenal

In my opinion, Declan Rice was very good for Arsenal against Manchester City on Sunday.

The England international was an imposing figure in the middle of the park and did not allow City to make the final pass.

Rice often made the interceptions at the right time and frustrated City.

The England international was very good on the ball and tried to drive West Ham forward.

Against City, Rice played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 90%, took 57 touches, and made three tackles, three interceptions and two clearances.
