Arsenal welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium for today’s crucial Premier League clash.
The Gunners are currently on 17 points after seven games into the campaign. They have the opportunity to go top of the table ahead of Tottenham Hotspur with a victory with three or more goals.
The club currently have a horrendous record against City with defeats in each of the last 12 league games but have a chance to end the woeful run with Pep Guardiola’s side missing key players.

Predicted Line-up:
David Raya had a mixed outing in midweek against Lens. His attempted long ball contributed to the hosts’ equaliser. Despite this, the Spaniard is guaranteed to start in goal ahead of Aaron Ramsdale this afternoon.
Takehiro Tomiyasu was handed a surprise start ahead of Ben White on Tuesday but he failed to grab the chance. He missed an excellent goalscoring opportunity. White should return from the right-back role.
The rest of the backline should stay the same. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should feature in the heart of the Arsenal defence with Oleksandr Zinchenko operating from the left-back position.
In midfield, Mikel Arteta could make one key change from midweek. Thomas Partey was an unused substitute at Lens. He could make his injury comeback against the reigning champions.
The Ghanaian could start in the number six role thus allowing Declan Rice to operate from the central position where he can dominate the Cityzens midfield with his strong distribution qualities.
Martin Odegaard should complete the three-man midfield. The Norwegian likes to play in advanced positions and could be pivotal to ending Arsenal’s dismal league record versus City.
Further forward, Bukayo Saka could start on the right wing. Arteta said that he is in contention to face City. The club graduate will make the XI in our opinion, provided he passes his fitness test.
Gabriel Jesus is our preferred choice to lead the line ahead of Eddie Nketiah. We would like Leandro Trossard on the left flank despite his disappointing outing against Lens on Tuesday.
The Belgian was not at his best in the Champions League but he is the club’s best creative outlet from the left wing with Gabriel Martinelli likely to miss out with a hamstring problem.
