Arsenal have been linked with a move for Jurrien Timber’s brother, Quinten, during the January transfer window, with the young midfielder getting a tour from Gunners icon Thierry Henry
Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has been recorded meeting a transfer target of the club in the form of Jurrien Timber’s brother, Quinten. It comes as the Gunners prepare for a potentially busy January window, which could see them bolster their ranks for the second half of the Premier League season.
The north London outfit currently sit in fourth after a difficult end to the calendar year that saw them suffer back-to-back to defeats to knock them off of top spot. They are far from out of the race though, with only a few points separating the teams towards the very top.
It means the impact of January and the transfer market may weigh heavily on the outcome of the campaign as a whole, with some big deals turning the tide.
Whether that’s the case for Arsenal and their squad, it remains to be seen as they may be flying close to the regulations on financial spending, following a £200million investment in the summer.
football.london understands that the Gunners are surveying the loan market for any potential deals that could add to their options in the coming weeks though. Even so, that hasn’t stopped a flurry of players being linked with a switch to the club on a permanent deal this winter.
One of which is the brother of a current Arsenal player, Quinten Timber – the twin sibling of Jurrien Timber, who joined the club in the summer transfer window. The midfielder has impressed for Feyenoord this season, playing every single Eredivisie game for the side as they sit second in the league.
Those performances, along with the signing of his brother at Arsenal, has put him on the radar of the Gunners through recent reports. They could step up even more in recent weeks after a new video from Jurrien Timber showed the midfielder at the Emirates Stadium recently.
Posting on his Instagram, the Arsenal defender showed footage of his siblings meeting with Arsenal icon Henry at the ground, where there was an embrace and some conversations.
There’s no guarantee that anything said was about a potential move though, leading to just more speculation in the coming weeks of the window.
