Calum Chambers failed to make a huge impact at Arsenal, and there was no surprise when Mikel Arteta decided to sell him to Aston Villa.

And, it seems that former Arsenal manager Unai Emery does not want him at Villa anymore.

So, what has been said about former Arsenal defender Calum Chambers? Let’s take a look.

Former Arsenal defender Calum Chambers told to leave Aston Villa

Well, former Arsenal defender Calum Chambers could be on the move again. The defender could not establish himself in the Gunners’ first team under manager Mikel Arteta, and now Unai Emery wants him gone from Aston Villa.

Emery worked with Chambers when he was the Arsenal manager. And now he has him at Villa.

However, the Spaniard has made it clear that he does not have any plans for Chambers, who can play as a centre-back or as a right-back.

Emery has publicly said that Chambers is free to leave Villa in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old is under contract at Villa until the summer of 2025. He moved from Arsenal in January 2022 for £2 million (The Mirror).

Chambers has not made a single appearance in the Premier League for Villa this season. He has made one start and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa Conference League for the Villans.

BirminghamLive quotes Emery as saying: “Some players can leave, for example two players, Bertrand Traore and Calum Chambers and in case that situation happens we can think to add one or two players in the squad. The players we have now, we want to help and support right now.”

My View: Calum Chambers will find another Premier League club

In my view, Calum Chambers will find another club in the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Just because Chambers is not wanted by Aston Villa manager Unai Emery does not mean that other clubs in the English top flight would not fancy him. West Ham United were linked not so long ago.

The former Arsenal defender has a wealth of experience in the Premier League and could be a good signing for clubs who are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship.

Chambers has made 176 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The defender has scored seven goals, given five assists and kept 33 clean sheets in those games.
