“They won’t sign Toney, Zubimendi or Douglas Luiz this January, they’re all rumous. Arsenal are only interested in this player”- Tranfer guru David Ornstein claims Arsenal will ONLY sign £30M midfield star who is ‘very fast’ and ‘technically strong’ who is one of the best players in the world

Arsenal want to sign £30m midfielder who’s one of ‘the very best’ around

Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

This is according to David Ornstein, who has claimed in The Athletic and on X that the Gunners admire the 25-year-old midfielder.

However, Arsenal are behind in the race for Dewsbury-Hall, who is currently the subject of negotiations between Leicester and Brighton.

Ornstein reported that the Foxes want around £30million for the player. There’s a gap in valuation but talks are ongoing, he added.

Mikel Arteta’s charges could certainly do with bolstering their midfield ranks further this year.

Thomas Partey’s injury record is concerning, while the jury remains out on Fabio Vieira and Luton loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Dewsbury-Hall is a good shout for Arsenal. At 25 years old, he has that mix of experience and plenty of years ahead of him, and he certainly looks like he’s ready for the next step.

He has 111 appearances, 14 goals and 14 assists to his name at Leicester. This season alone, he has nine goals and nine assists.

Arsenal target Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has ‘great human qualities’

Last year, Brendan Rodgers sung Dewsbury-Hall’s praises, saying he has traits worth of the “very best players”.

As per BBC Sport, the former Foxes boss said: “He is a young man that is very determined. He has great human qualities as well.

“His humbleness, his vision of where he wants to go is very clear and he knows that is just about work. It is staying calm, staying focused and improving yourself every game.

“You don’t play one good game and then drop off and that is the difference with the very best players.

“They are ready for the next game and ready to put the same energy and intensity into the performance, rather than looking back at how good they were in the last game.”

However, with Brighton pushing, Arsenal need to get a move on if they want to beat the Seagulls to Dewsbury-Hall’s services.
