Nuno has just confirmed three Nottingham Forest players will not be available to face West Ham United
Nuno Espirito Santo has just confirmed that three players will be unavailable when Nottingham Forest take on West Ham this weekend.
The head coach has been speaking with BBC Sport.
So, what has Espirito Santo said about the availability of three of his Forest players this weekend? Let’s take a closer look…
What Nuno Espirito Santo has said about three Nottingham Forest players
Well, the topic of conversation in this afternoon’s press conference was centred around the returning African Cup of Nations players.
Ibrahim Sangare and Wolly Boly won the tournament with the Ivory Coast; whilst Ola Aina was a runner-up with Nigeria.
With the tournament finishing last Sunday fans were keen to establish whether or not the trio would be available this weekend.
Now, Espirito Santo has issued some news that is a bit of a bombshell for Forest ahead of the visit from West Ham.
He told BBC Sport this afternoon that Sangare, Aina and Boly will all be unavailable for this weekend’s game.
It offers a setback to Forest who are desperate to pick up their maiden win of 2024 in the Premier League.
Furthermore, the Reds face a West Ham side that have just been thrashed 6-0 and their confidence could be on the floor right now.
Forest handed huge setback
This isn’t ideal news for Forest to contend with ahead of such a huge game of football this weekend.
Sangare, Boly and Aina should all waltz back into the starting eleven and they are all capable of bringing something to the team.
Now, Espirito Santo must find alternatives to plug the gaps again and hope that a better Forest performance can be put in than last weekend.
Forest are flirting dangerously close to the relegation zone and ultimately they desperately need to get these three players back on the pitch soon.
