Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa praises Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard
Martin Odegaard has been one of Arsenal’s best players for a couple of years now.

The 25-year-old Norway international scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League last season. He has seven goals and eight assists in all competitions this time around and is getting better and better every week.

Odegaard has a goal and three assists in his last two games for Arsenal. He is in fantastic form right now, and Porto will have to be wary of him.

The Portuguese giants’ goalkeeper, Diogo Costa, was asked about Odegaard before the game tomorrow, and he branded the Norwegian as an ‘excellent player’.

However, he refused to put all the focus on the Arsenal captain.

Costa told O Jogo: “Odegaard is an excellent player, but he is not a player who will do all the work alone. We are focused on the whole team.”

Odegaard could make the difference vs Porto

Porto aren’t in great form right now, are they?

They’ve won just one of their last three games in the Portuguese top-flight and that came against relegation-threatened Estrela Amadora.

However, Champions League ties are always unpredictable, and Arsenal will have to be at their best to get the better of Porto, especially at the Estádio do Dragão.

Martin Odegaard will be Arsenal‘s main man against Porto. If he has a good game in that number 10 role, he should be able to unlock Porto’s defence and make a big difference tomorrow.
