Eddie Howe is blessed with some incredible players at Newcastle United, one of which he believes is completely unique to the Premier League.

The Magpies are taking on Arsenal on Saturday, and are set to have a couple of key players back from injury. One of those is Alexander Isak, who is available again after a groin injury.

The 24-year-old has missed our previous three games, but is going to return against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

That is a big boost for Howe, who is going to be relying on Isak to stay fit for the rest of the season. That is because Callum Wilson appears to be out for the rest of the campaign.

But Isak has had his own injury issues this season, while he also missed a large portion of his debut year on Tyneside.

Despite this, Eddie Howe very much believes that Alexander Isak is the real deal in black and white.

Eddie Howe believes Alexander Isak is unique to the Premier League
Howe has been speaking to the media ahead of Arsenal vs Newcastle, and was asked if the best is still to come from Isak following his return to fitness.

“I hope the best is to come,” he said.

“People will talk about his injuries that he has had here, but he has still contributed massively for us. He’s been an incredible player.

“There’s no one else like him in the Premier League, in my opinion. He’s got talents that can transform our team from one thing to another.

“I’d love to see him stay fit and get the goals that he would love to score for us.”

Isak can grow into an even greater superstar for Newcastle United

Despite missing 10 games due to injury this season, Isak is still Newcastle’s top scorer. He has found the net 14 times, and will be eager to reach 20 before the end of the campaign.

The Sweden international truly is a special player, and is well on his way to being recognised as an elite striker. For me, and many others, he is the second-best forward in the Premier League behind Erling Haaland.

But Isak can even do things that Haaland can’t. He can go past players with his speed and skill, slinking beyond defenders as if he is the second coming of Thierry Henry.

That is why Howe believes he is unique in the Premier League, and it is why there is even more to come from Isak at St James’ Park.
