Mykhaylo Mudryk is becoming one of the Premier League’s biggest disappointments.

The Ukrainian winger, who joined the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer in a deal worth a staggering £88.5 million (Sky Sports), has had a miserable first season at Stamford Bridge.
Despite being given several opportunities to impress, the 22-year-old has scored just four goals in 26 games in all competitions; figures that are far from what was expected of him.

Consequently, Mudryk has recently fallen out of favor with Mauricio Pochettino, losing his place to Raheem Sterling and striker Nicolas Jackson; both of whom have been starting on the right.
And while the Blues will be desperate to see the Ukrainian international turn it around, his disastrous form is becoming a major cause for concern.

Arsenal ‘main candidates’ to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk
According to a recent report from Fichajes, Chelsea are so disappointed with their nearly £100 million star that they are “considering options” for next season. A loan move seems the most likely at the moment, but a permanent sale has not been ruled out.

Interestingly, while Juventus are still interested in offering the in-form winger a way out of his Stamford Bridge nightmare, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal also have a strong interest.

Arsenal were extremely close to signing Mudryk before he agreed a move to Chelsea, and if recent reports are anything to go by, the Gunners, who have been described as the ‘main contenders’ of the saga, could try again to get the striker’s signature.

Arteta has a great track record of improving players so although Mudryk will probably regret his decision to stumble on a move to the Emirates, he could be given a second chance.
