“I am really optimistic about his progress,” Arteta expressed when questioned about Timber’s potential return before the season concludes. “He has been training alongside some of our players on the field, and in the upcoming week, we will gradually involve him in certain activities.”
“Subsequently, we will assess his development, including his confidence and fitness levels, with the hope that the answer will be positive.”
In the meantime, Arsenal has made a tactical adjustment by deploying Ben White as an inverted right-sided player, while Jakub Kiwior assumes the more conventional full-back role on the left. This adaptation could potentially benefit Timber upon his return to action, considering his impressive performances on both sides during pre-season.
