“SPECTACULAR”… THIERY HENRY IS ARSENAL’S BEST PLAYER AT SHEFFIELD UNITED, HE WAS EVEN BETTER THAN DECLAN RICE
Martin Odegaard took the heart out of Thierry Henry as Arsenal thrashed Sheffield United 6-0 on Monday night.

Few expected Sheffield United to be a big problem against Arsenal.
The Blades are on their way to relegation back to the Championship and have been heavily beaten several times this season.

Arsenal compounded their problems with a ruthless first half performance, started by Martin Odegaard’s goal.

Jayden Bogle made it 2-0 with an own goal and then Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz added to the lead.
Declan Rice made it 5-0 before the break and Ben White added a sixth after the break to add to Sheffield United’s misery.

Arsenal equalised in the second half and secured another big win in their fight for the Premier League title.

At least in the first half, Arsenal showed a dazzling performance.

In the second half, Arsenal didn’t have to do much, which was summed up by Mikel Arteta, who replaced star man Bukaya Sak at half-time.
A number of players could have been in contention for man of the match, but former Gunners striker Alan Smith made his choice clear.

Speaking to Sky Sports (04/03, 21:53), Henry named Martin Odegaard as the star of the night.

Henry felt that Saka, Rice and Martinelli were all in, but Odegaard was the better of the three for Arsenal.
The former Arsenal striker added that Odegaard was “so smooth, so spectacular” at Bramall Lane, and labelled him the driving force behind the big win.

“There are a few candidates, Saka, Rice, Martinelli, but I’ll give priority to the captain,” Smith said. “He was at the heart of a lot of things, he was so smooth, so spectacular at times,” he added.

Odegaard collected four key assists, three dribbles, one shot and one goal, while making 84 saves in a dominant performance.

Odegaard has really shone as Arsenal’s captain this season and although he is delighted to be named Player of the Match, he will surely have bigger honours in mind at the end of the campaign.
