BREAKING: £80M Ajax pointman reveals he’s ready to be the ‘next Aubameyang’ at Arsenal as he sees his longtime future at the North London Club

Brian Brobbey has named Arsenal as a club he’d like to play for in the future, amid recent transfer links to the Gunners.
Speaking to the media about his long-term future, Ajax striker Brian Brobbey answered a question on which club he hopes to play for one day.

“Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club,” Brobbey responded. “If you look at that stadium. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“I have a contract until 2027. At the moment I am just with Ajax.”
Reports this week have suggested that Arsenal have now identified Brobbey as a primary target up front with the player valuing himself at around €80m, so perhaps the Ajax center-forward will get his wish.

But Fabrizio Romano writes that whilst Brobbey is being touted by some as Arsenal’s primary striker target, we’ll have to be patient before we know whether that’s true.

Romano claims the Gunners are still assessing their options internally, with several names being considered.

Until the club make that final decision on which player they plan to pursue, it’s obviously going to be impossible to confirm their primary target.
Brobbey has had a prolific season with Ajax, scoring 22 goals and assisting a further 12 in 43 appearances.

The vast majority of those goal contributions came in domestic competition, in which the 22-year-old managed 29 goals and assists in 31 matches.
Stats in the Eredivisie don’t always translate well to the Premier League, so signing Brobbey would represent somewhat of a risk.

But his young age and desire to play for the Gunners could make him a favorable backup option for the time being, competing for a starting spot once he’s adapted to English football.
