JUST IN: Arsenal pushing to sign Aston Villa star – £100m Striker will join Arsenal – German midfielder to join Gunners immediately after EUROS next month

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Kevin Nolan thinks Ivan Toney could be heading to Arsenal and how he could be a ‘big plus’ for Mikel Arteta.

It is no secret that Arsenal will be looking to sign a striker in the summer window – and Ivan Toney has been named a forward that is ready for that next step in his career and a move to the Emirates is on the cards.

However – amid all the speculation – many has questioned whether Toney is good enough for Arsenal and told the Gunners board that they need to be patient, and then go out to get the very best.

But despite that – Nolan has claimed that Toney could be heading to ARSENAL this summer and could be a big plus signing for Mikel Arteta as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

“They will be really pleased with what they have done, the back half of the season as well,” said Nolan. “The amount of points. They didn’t drop many, did they?!

“That’s the biggest one (centre-forward in the summer transfer market). I think the recruitment is going to be massive. If they get a centre-forward in and the right one for them, then I feel that.

“I honestly think Ivan Toney could be a big plus for them. I think with what they have got in and around to have someone who can sort of give them something different. I think he could be the one. I know the money could be ridiculous.”

ARSENAL STILL WANT LUIZ –

Arsenal are still pushing for Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz, according to reports.

The midfielder has been one of Unai Emery’s unsung heroes this term, scoring seven goals and contributing seven assists in all competitions.

While striker Ollie Watkins has captured the headlines, Luiz has played a key role in Villa’s success in the Premier League this term, helping the side get Champions League football for next season

Luiz was heavily linked with a move to ARSENAL last year and according to many reports in the media over the past few months, he is still a player that Mikel Arteta would love to add to his squad.

Football Insider claim the Gunners are working hard behind the scenes to sign the Brazilian, but his club Aston Villa are in no rush to sell their talisman who signed a new contract last season.

amid all that speculation and rumours – Man United legend Roy Keane recently said there is no surprise that Arsenal are interested in the star given the level of performance that he’s putting in.

“He turns up every week this player,” said Keane. “Never seems to be injured. Quality player. I like him.

“I think he was linked with Arsenal last year. There are no surprises there, with some of the Villa players, you think they can certainly go on to play for a Man United, Arsenal or even Man City, you look at Watkins.

“But I like Luiz. He is consistent. Turns up week in and week out. You know what you are going to get from him. I like a lot about him. Probably lacks that real pace maybe.

“In terms of his decision-making and looking after the ball. Very, very good.”

ARSENAL INTERESTED IN KIMMICH –

Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing Bayern Munich’s versatile star Joshua Kimmich this summer.

The German midfielder sees his contract at Bayern expire in 2025 with no progress as yet of an extension. As a result, Florian Plettenberg recently told Sky Germany reports that the midfielder is thought to be exploring his options this summer

Furthermore, Plettenberg states that Bayern would be willing to sell Kimmich should a “suitable offer” arrive.

The news will alert the likes of ARSENAL – as they have long admired the German star and will be looking to add some experience to the side at the end of the season.
