Wrexham linked with Wolves midfielder Tommy Doyle
TEAMtalk’s Darren Witcoop now claims that Wrexham are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Tommy Doyle.
It’s suggested that Wrexham are ‘exploring a move’ to sign Doyle, but face major competition for his signature.
Sunderland are interested in signing Doyle having won promotion to the Premier League, and actually wanted to sign him in January.
Sheffield United remain keen on Doyle, too, having previously taken him on loan.
Wolves paid £4.3million for Doyle in 2023, as noted by BBC Sport, but are now allegedly willing to sell for just £3million.
That would be a club-record signing for Wrexham and the 23-year-old may represent great value for money.
Doyle has plenty of Championship and Premier League football under his belt and is the kind of talent who can make a difference for Wrexham in the years to come.
