Ipswich Town man lined up for unique medical ahead of potential overseas transfer
Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe remains of interest to Trabzonspor but they want him to do a medical before negotiations advance, as per Milliyet.
Ipswich Town are coming back down to the Championship after one year in the Premier League. ITFC have been relegated straight back down alongside Leicester City and Southampton.
It was a memorable year for the Tractor Boys regardless, who will be hopeful of pushing for an immediate return to the top flight over the 2025/26 season.

However, change lays ahead at Portman Road with key figures sure to draw interest, and defender Axel Tuanzebe has been among those to attract attention. The 27-year-old is out of contract this summer and Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor have been heavily linked.
Now though, Turkish news outlet Milliyet has offered an insight on their intriguing medical plan for the Ipswich Town man.
They claim that Trabzonspor actually want Tuanzebe to undergo a medical before they push on with the finer details of the deal. There are concerns over the 27-year-old’s injury record and want to be sure they are making the right call with a swoop for his services.

As such, many may be hoping those efforts made by Kieran McKenna and the club are repaid with some loyalty in adversity from the defender.
But, as more time passes, the chances of him staying put feel less and less likely.
Who else could move on?
Ipswich Town have already seen some players move on. Massimo Luongo, Marcus Harness and Cameron Burgess have left at the end of their deals, with the latter two signing for Huddersfield Town and Swansea City respectively.
As it stands, Tuanzebe is the only player left with a contract offer on the table with the end of his current deal at the end of his month moving closer and closer.
There are ITFC assets under contract who could have admirers at higher levels too though. Dara O’Shea and Omari Hutchinson are held in high regard while Liam Delap
