Images of the midfielder training in the Gunners shirt and United States shorts were posted to Instagram by Elite Player Performance Academy, along with the caption: “We working.”

Could Musah return to Arsenal?

Speaking last year, Musah said he would be open to returning to Arsenal at some point in the future.

“You never know. I had a great time developing at Arsenal. I have friends there, the coaches are great, being an Arsenal player in general is great,” he told CBS Sports, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

“I loved playing at Arsenal. I’ve nothing against the club, and if one day it turns out that it’s time to go back, then it’s possible.

“For now, I’m really happy at Valencia, and looking forward to carrying this season on in the same way we’re doing now.”

Musah still has three years left on his contract at Valencia and it is unlikely Arsenal would look to bring another midfielder into the club, with Kai Havertz already signed from Chelsea and Declan Rice on the verge of joining from West Ham.

Arsenal have also reached ‘full agreement’ with Ajax over a deal to sign Jurrien Timber as Arteta’s summer rebuild gathers pace.
