And, in a fresh development, journalist Rob Staton has confirmed the EFL have now added another embargo to the list, which relates to Chansiri’s failure to pay the recent monthly salaries.
That was the fifth time in seven months that the wages weren’t paid on time, and it has been said that a points deduction is ‘almost inevitable’.
Henrik Pedersen’s side are 23rd in the Championship right now, so any deduction would have a huge impact on the club, who are going to be battling to stay in the division anyway, given their lack of resources.

All connected to Sheffield Wednesday knew this was going to be an issue after Chansiri once again failed to pay the wages on time, and the EFL have now confirmed the embargo.
Sadly, it’s just another problem the Owls have, and the reality is that they aren’t going to be able to progress until Chansiri leaves the club.
The way he has left them in this position is completely unacceptable, and the failure to pay wages on time to players and staff is going to be impacting their lives, so it goes beyond football here.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to be imminent on the takeover front, so it’s going to get worse before it gets better for the Owls, and you can understand that supporters will be concerned about the future of the club.
As outlined above, they are highly likely to lose points, and if the failure to pay the wages on time continues, there could be more players who walk away from their contracts.
It’s a very bleak situation right now, and the expected EFL punishments that are on the way are not going to help matters, so it’s just a case of hoping for some positive takeover news to end Chansiri’s time at Hillsborough.
