ALEX Neil said he is not worried when Millwall have to hold onto a lead in the dying minutes of the game, citing the mentality of his side.
The Lions took the lead against Leicester City through Femi Azeez’s strike on the cusp of half-time, and had chances to extend their advantage in the second half.
The Foxes pushed for an equaliser in the final ten minutes of the match, besieging Millwall’s box, but only had two shots, neither of which really threatened Max Crocombe in goal.
Neil was asked by NewsAtDen how he felt during that spell.
“Honestly, at the moment, because of the personnel that’s in there, I feel fine,” Neil said. “I trust them implicitly in terms of doing their jobs.
“What I do know is if we lose a goal, it’ll be a moment of quality from somebody. Or it’ll be a mistake where you just maybe get caught.
“But what I do know is that they’ll put their bodies on the line, not just purely for me, but for their teammates, for their club, for the fans, for everybody. It means so much to them, you know?
“I was saying to them afterwards about how much I enjoy coaching them. I do feel extremely privileged to coach this group. I think they’re a brilliant group.”
