IAN WRIGHT SENDS SEVEN-WORD MESSAGE AFTER WATCHING ARSENAL WIN

Pundit Ian Wright has taken to Twitter to state that he would love to play in this Arsenal team as they continue to shine under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal’s attacking play is so good that Ian Wright is wishing that he was part of Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners have been in Champions League action this evening with PSV Eindhoven arriving into town.

This was a big night for Arsenal after so long out of the Champions League, with fans creating a great atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal wasted no time laying down a marker as Bukayo Saka opened the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus also found the net before the break, leaving Arsenal 3-0 up by half-time.

Martin Odegaard added number four after the break with Arsenal running riot upon their Champions League return.

Everybody of an Arsenal persuasion will be delighted tonight – including former Gunners striker Ian Wright…

Ian Wright comments on Arsenal performance

Wright is an absolute Arsenal legend and he is clearly loving watching the Gunners right now.

Wright too to Twitter on Wednesday night to tweet just seven words about the Arsenal display.

The former goal machine stated ‘I want to play in this team’, no doubt believing that he could run riot under Arteta

Wright racked up 288 appearances and 185 goals for Arsenal, with 128 of them coming in league action.

That leaves Wright second behind Thierry Henry in Arsenal’s all-time scoring list – but he may believe that he would rack up even more goals if he was able to feature in this Gunners side.

Arteta has Arsenal playing such great attacking football and you can only imagine the chances Martin Odegaard and co would create for Wright.

Wright will have to settle for cheering Arsenal on, which is probably more than good enough for him with the Gunners chasing major silverware this season.
