Jorginho thanked Arsenal fans for their reaction to his ‘painful mistake’ that cost the Gunners victory in Sunday’s north London derby.

Bukayo Saka’s penalty 10 minutes after the restart appeared to have swung the momentum firmly back in the Gunners’ favour after Spurs had hauled themselves back into the contest shortly before the break.

Rather than turn on their own player, the home crowd immediately chanted Jorginho’s name, while Oleksandr Zinchenko was quick to attempt to lift his teammates’ spirits.
