‘UNBELIEVABLE’: BUKAYO SAKA BLOWN AWAY BY £27M ARSENAL STAR’S DISPLAY V MAN CITY

Bukayo Saka has told William Saliba on Instagram that he was ‘unbelievable’ following Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Before kick-off, the main talking point was that Bukayo Saka, who limped off against RC Lens midweek in the Champions League, wasn’t in the Arsenal matchday squad.

Despite Mikel Arteta missing such a key player, Arsenal still secured the three points for the first time in a long time against Manchester City.

One of the main reasons that happened was the defensive display from the Gunners, with William Saliba at the heart of it all.

It was only the small matter of coming up against the goal-crazy Erling Haaland, and given that he never had a shot at goal, well, that tells you everything about the Frenchman’s performance.

Arsenal’s £27 million signing (Goal) dealt with every stride inch and power Erling Haaland tried to bring to the table, as he produced a masterclass in how to deal with the Premier League’s most lethal forward.

“A win and a clean sheet to go into the break ✅,” wrote Saliba on Instagram. “Thank you for your incredible support Gooners.”

Saliba is one of the Premier League’s best

It’s crazy to think that, only 12 months ago, Saliba was just about making his senior debut for the club, despite signing under Unai Emery.

It took a while and it was a long road, but that wait, for the player himself and the fans, was well worth it.

And, as of today, it could be argued that he is possibly the best centre-back in the league because, if Arsenal are to win the Premier League title, then he needs to stay fit throughout.
