Dougie Freedman has left his Director of Football role at Selhurst Park in favour of joining Al-Diriyah in Saudi Arabia, which leaves Oliver Glasner without the man who helped to bring the likes of Michael Olise and Adam Wharton to Crystal Palace.
However, life goes on, and the Glaswegian’s move to Saudi Arabia has not put a block on transfer movement occurring in SE25, with Crystal Palace now entering talks to sign Tamiou Kpebane from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Fussball Transfers in Germany now state that Crystal Palace have made contact to sign the German defender, ahead of his contract expiring in June.
The German news outlet state that Kpebane is also wanted by Hamburger SV as he prepares to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
Fussball Transfers claim that the chances of the 18-year-old talent signing a new contract with the Bundesliga side are unlikely, as he does not see a clear pathway into the senior setup, while the Eintracht Frankfurt U19 side are also facing relegation, so the standard he would be playing at is set to decrease in quality.
The teenager – who Fussball Transfers call a ‘giant’ given his 6ft 4in frame – has impressed on the right flank this season in the youth ranks at Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.
Impressively, Kpebane appears to be a highly versatile player as well, having operated at left-back, right-back, centre-back, attacking midfield and even as a right-sided forward so far this season.
Caleb Kporha may not be happy if this deal materialises
Glasner already has a standout option down the right in Daniel Munoz, and a talented prospect to deputise for the Colombian in Caleb Kporha.
The 18-year-old made his Premier League debut against Fulham earlier this season, and also started the Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat at Arsenal, progress which earned him a new four-year contract that he signed earlier this month.
Therefore, if Crystal Palace are successful in their attempts to bring Kpebane to south London, it may frustrate Kporha, seeing as he could be shoved further down the pecking order by someone of the same age and similar potential.
Having said that, Manchester City are keen to sign Munoz, so perhaps the Eintracht Frankfurt prodigy is being eyed as a potential replacement for the South American.
