That is the opinion of Ali Boussaboun, who has told PSV how much they should ask for Saibari from Arsenal in the summer of 2024.

Well, Ali Boussaboun has backed PSV and Morocco international midfielder Ismael Saibari to attract the interest of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who have been linked with Victor Osimhen.

Saibari is going to turn out at the Africa Cup of Nations, and former Morocco and Feyenoord striker believes that the 22-year-old could find himself on the radar of Premier League club Arsenal.

The pundit has said that Ajax should demand at least €60 million (£52 million) from Arsenal in the summer of 2024.

Scholes told NU, as translated by SportWitness: “Ismael Saibari is great. He has wonderful technique, is so strong and really a team player. Arsenal will be a perfect team for him much more than Man Utd because it’s a far more stable and balanced team.

“And he is so humble you almost want to hug him. He will miss the next few weeks because he will be playing for Morocco at the Africa Cup, but that is also beneficial for PSV.

“If Saibari does well there, his market value will rise by €10m or €20m. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arsenal pick him up after the season. If PSV sell him for less than €60m, they have failed there.”

My View: Arsenal do not need to sign Ismael Saibari

In my opinion, Arsenal do not need to sign Ismael Saibari in the summer of 2024. 

While I appreciate that the 22-year-old is a very talented and promising player, I think that the Gunners need someone who is more mature and has more experience than him.

Saibari has played as a central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder for PSV this season. He is also able to operate as a winger.

The Morocco international has scored four goals and given two assists in seven starts and seven substitute appearances in the Eredivisie this season.

The 22-year-old has scored one goal in two starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for PSV this campaign.

Saibari made five starts and 12 substitute appearances in the league for PSV last season.

The Moroccan is just starting his career. Yes, this is his breakthrough season, but that does not mean that Arsenal should bid for him in a few months.

Arsenal are now at a stage where they are expected to win or at least challenge for the Premier League title regularly and also compete for the UEFA Champions League. I am not sure that Saibari would enhance the Gunners’ chances of doing that.
