Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes produced a sublime performance during the 5-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

The north London giants ended a three-match winless run with a convincing triumph over the Eagles. Gabriel played a big part towards the victory.

The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a towering header. His scoring attempt in the 37th minute led to Dean Henderson’s own goal.

His goal contributions helped to ease early pressure on the Gunners. Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli (x2) completed the rout after the break.

GABRIEL DELIVERS ALL-ROUND PERFORMANCE IN DERBY

Gabriel has been one of the Gunners’ best performers in the season. He was at the top of his game in the derby – both offensively as well as defensively.

Aside from his goal involvements, the former Lille man had 68 touches in the early kick-off. He won eight ground and aerial duels alongside five clearances.

The €60 million-rated star also completed five long balls and induced three fouls from the opposition.

Martinelli put the gloss on the team’s performance with a late brace in stoppage time, but Gabriel was undoubtedly the stand-out performer for Arsenal.

His form has been quite impressive in the past month. He has made three goal contributions in this period and will be aiming to continue the good form.

Arsenal are currently two points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand at Bournemouth tomorrow. The fans will be hoping for a Cherries win.

The Gunners will be back in action against Nottingham Forest away from home on January 30.
