‘He gives everything’… Rio Ferdinand reckons Arsenal fans want £27m player to start over Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz is starting to show what he’s all about at Arsenal now.

The German is, finally, hitting a bit of form for the north London club, but, after such a slow start to life at the Emirates, he still has a lot to prove in the eyes of many.
Indeed, there are certainly still some Arsenal supporters who aren’t sold on Havertz, and speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Rio Ferdinand has made a claim about the German international and the Gunners supporters.

Ferdinand says that if given the choice, many Arsenal fans would choose to have Leandro Trossard in the starting XI over Havertz right now

Ferdinand shared his opinions on the two Arsenal stars.

“It would be good to ask the Arsenal fans if they could have him or Trossard who would they pick, I think I know the answer, I think they’d all have Trossard because he effects the game more, he always assists and scores, he gives everything. Mikel is seeing something a bit different,” Sherwood said.

Different options

This is a very interesting debate, because these two are very different players.
Yes, they’re both attacking outlets for Arsenal who are very versatile, but in terms of their style, they are very different.

Just look at these two players.

Kai Havertz is a 6 ft 4 physical attacker, while the £27m man is one of the shorter players in the league and can’t bully defenders in the same way Havertz sometimes can.

As for who is the better player, that’s up for debate, but, at the same time, Havertz has been very effective recently, so we can’t see him being dropped for Trossard anytime soon.
