‘Needs to improve’ – Player struggling in new club’s U23s after Arsenal January exit, ‘lacks speed and robustness’

Right at the very end of the January transfer window, Bradley Ibrahim left Arsenal for Hertha Berlin.

With no chances of playing for the Gunners’ first team, the 18-year-old agreed to a deal with the Bundesliga side, where there was hope he would get some first opportunities as a professional.

However, it turns out that Ibrahim is off to a tough start there, and that’s today highlighted by German outlet Bild.

The outlet recalls that when the player first left Arsenal for Hertha Berlin, manager Pol Dardai was very excited about the signing.

He should adapt to his new club in the coming months and then be ready for the 2024/25 season.
The problem is that the central midfielder is already showing a number of weaknesses in training. He is said to “hold the ball too long” and make “unnecessary tackles”.

According to Bild, he “lacks speed and robustness”, which is also evident in the club’s U23 team, where he currently plays in the fourth league of German football, and “needs to improve” these aspects of his game if he wants a chance to play for the first team soon.

This is something he will want to improve before establishing himself among the professionals.

So it seems that Arsenal had a reason for not giving him the chance to make his full debut, and now he faces similar problems at his new club.
