Kai Havertz Confident of Continuing International Goalscoring Form for Club

Following Germany’s perfect start to the EURO2024, German international Kai Havertz expressed optimism about being able to carry his strong goalscoring record with the national team over to his club Arsenal when the new Premier League season kicks off later this year.

“I’ve been really pleased with my performances and goal-scoring for Germany over the past year,” said Havertz I had a good season with Arsenal but it’s unfortunate we couldn’t win the title. “I was able to find the back of the net consistently at the World Cup and Nations League, and I’m hoping to take that same killer instinct in front of goal back to my club.”

Havertz was a key contributor for Germany’s national team, scoring 8 goals in 15 appearances across World Cup qualification, the World Cup itself, and the UEFA Nations League. His goals helped power Germany to a runners-up finish in the Nations League tournament, and he proved his worth with a goal and an assist last night.

“The confidence I’ve gained from playing well and scoring goals for my country is something I want to bring with me when I join Arsenal for pre-season training,” Havertz continued. “I know the new Premier League season is going to be a big challenge, but I’m feeling fresh, sharp, and ready to hit the ground running.”

Arsenal fans will certainly be hoping Havertz can translate his international form to the club level. After a somewhat good first season at Emirates Stadium, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is poised for a breakout campaign in 2024-25.

“I’ve had some good spells at Chelsea, but I know I have another level I can reach with this Arsenal,” Havertz said. “With a full pre-season under my belt and the confidence from my national team performances, I’m confident I can be even more prolific in front of goal for Arsenal next season.”

If Havertz is indeed able to bring his goalscoring prowess from the international stage to the Premier League, it could be a huge boost for Arsenal as they look to continue to challenge for top honors domestically and in Europe.
