The Old Gold inserted a £62.5m release clause into the Brazilian’s contract during the January transfer window, which Manchester United are looking to exploit.

Amid news linking Cunha with a transfer to Man United, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the update that fans had all been waiting for.
On X, Romano exclusively revealed that the deal is ‘almost done’ with an agreement on personal terms now at the final stages.
“Final details to sort between all parties involved… and then, here we go,” Romano wrote, as Cunha takes another step closer to leaving Molineux.
The news is deflating for Wolves, but it will not come as a surprise, given that Cunha wanted his next club to be decided before the season ended.
Cunha’s transfer approach has been disrespectful to Wolves
By no means is Cunha comparable to Matheus Nunes’ villainous Wolves exit, but the Brazilian certainly hasn’t handled things the right way.
Speaking out about his desire to leave the club at a time when Wolves weren’t safe from relegation was disrespectful, with other hints coming along the way.
Cunha’s representatives pushed for a transfer in January, and now, the former Atletico Madrid man is about to complete his exit.
