Vitor Pereira responds when asked if he’ll be looking at Sasa Kalajdzic in pre-season
It won’t be long until pre-season rolls around ahead of the 2025/26 season – and Vitor Pereira will have his eye on a number of players.
Wolves will play Premier League football again, after securing their top-flight status a few weeks ago.
In the end, Wanderers stayed up with relative ease, after a brilliant impact by Vitor Pereira, and also very poor challenges from the teams that have gone down.
Attention is already turning to the summer and next season, and Compton will be a hive of activity.
Several players will leave the club and currently, there are a number of individuals whose futures are up in the air.
One such player is Sasa Kalajdzic, who Pereira spoke about after the defeat to Crystal Palace.

Kalajdzic recently returned to full training at Wolves, following the ACL injury he sustained just over a year ago.
Kalajdzic has endured a nightmare spell at Molineux after joining for £15 million from Stuttgart (BBC Sport) due to suffering two serious knee injuries and undoubtedly, there are big question marks over his future at the club.
It will be intriguing to see what happens with him this summer.
Kalajdzic recently suggested he’d be open to leaving Wolves on loan, but added he had not spoken with the club about his future.
After Wolves’ defeat to Palace, Pereira fielded a question about whether Kalajdzic would be a player he’d look at in pre-season.
He responded: “We’re trying to help him to recover his confidence and recover his level physically and mentally.
“We need to wait until the end of the season and after we will decide what is better for him and for us.
“Sometimes he’s in training with us, sometimes he’s out. It’s step by step, we’ll see at the end of the season.”
Pereira comments about Kalajdzic point to potential loan exit
The comments from Pereira about Kalajdzic are potentially ominous.
The Wolves manager had the chance to say he’d be looking at the Austrian in pre-season ahead of next season.
But he stopped short and gave a measured response.
This perhaps indicates that an exit could be on the cards – if he was ready to keep Kalajdzic at Wolves, he surely would have just said when asked.
Pereira can be quite forthcoming when he wants to be when it comes to information about the futures of his players. An example of this was when Pereira confirmed Mateus Mane would be with the Wolves first team squad next term.
But of course, the situation is slightly complex with Kalajdzic given his injury problems. Pereira might be open to keeping him, but the injury might just dictate what happens.
