Promising German midfielder Casper Jander is reportedly attracting strong interest from a host of European clubs following an impressive season with FC Nürnberg in the German 2. Bundesliga. According to reports in the German media, Premier League sides Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among those closely monitoring the 22-year-old, who has enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Bavarian outfit.
Jander has featured prominently for Nürnberg this season, making 32 league starts and contributing three goals from midfield. His consistent performances and mature displays have not gone unnoticed, with scouts from various top-flight clubs keeping tabs on his development. His growing reputation has seen him emerge as one of the most talked-about young midfielders in Germany’s second tier.
Among the clubs reportedly vying for his signature are Brentford and Wolves, both of whom are said to be keen on bolstering their midfield options ahead of the new Premier League season. The English sides, however, are not alone in their pursuit. Bundesliga outfits Bayer Leverkusen, SC Freiburg, and VfB Stuttgart, as well as Belgian giants Club Brugge, are also believed to be tracking Jander’s progress and could enter the race to sign him.
The competition for his signature is expected to be fierce, especially as FC Nürnberg have made it clear that they will not let the player leave on the cheap. According to Sport Bild, the club is holding out for an offer in the region of €20 million before entering any serious negotiations. The report emphasizes that Nürnberg are in no rush to sell and will only consider parting ways with the midfielder if their valuation is met.
Nürnberg’s sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou has commented on the situation, confirming the interest in Jander while also underlining the club’s firm stance. Speaking to Sport Bild, he said:
> “There are people who are simply interested in the player. I would be too, if I were a level higher. But I have a very clear stance on this and know that at a certain point we’ll enter into talks.”
Jander is under contract at FC Nürnberg until June 2028, putting the club in a strong negotiating position. His long-term deal gives them the leverage to wait for the right offer and avoid being pressured into an early or undervalued sale.
