Arsenal Fans React to Bukayo Saka’s First Appearance in 101 Days vs Fulham
Arsenal welcomed Bukayo Saka back to action for the first time in three months during the 2-1 Premier League win against Marco Silva’s Fulham. The winger had been sidelined since pulling up with a hamstring injury at Crystal Palace in mid-December, but returned via the substitutes’ bench on Tuesday night.
Mikel Arteta’s men came back from the international break to secure three points against the Cottagers, who were soundly beaten in their previous fixture against Palace at the weekend. The Gunners led the west London outfit before Saka’s introduction, thanks to a deflected Mikel Merino effort in the 37th minute.
The Emirates faithful gave a warm reception to the returning Saka, who replaced teenager Ethan Nwaneri on the right side of the Arsenal attacking line. It was the first time he’d taken to the field in 101 days for the north Londoners.

Just moments after taking to the pitch, the starboy had already put his stamp on proceedings. The England international nodded home at the back post after being left unmarked by the visitors just seven minutes into his return.
After losing Gabriel to a suspected hamstring injury early in proceedings, it was a welcome sight for the Emirates faithful to welcome back their star player, especially with a goal. Ahead of a huge Champions League tie with Real Madrid next week, Gunners fans expressed their delight at seeing Saka take to the field, with one saying: “Words cannot express how much I missed you, Bukayo Saka.”
Another pointed out how inevitable the 23-year-old has become in terms of attacking output, simply stating: “Saka returns. Saka scores. Was it ever in doubt?” Famous Arsenal fan and media personality, KSI, got in on the praise for Saka, posting: “SAKA IS BACK.” Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was caught in the crossfire of Arsenal supporters’ jubilation, with another pointing out:
