Nottingham Forest are going great in the 2024/25 campaign and with five Premier League games remaining, the Reds are firmly in the mix to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The Reds have got 60 points from 33 games and are now going to be in with a shout of finishing inside the division’s top five with a handful of games to come for Forest before the end of the season.
Forest have had a number of top performers this season. Chris Wood has scored 19 goals, whilst Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi have all been influential behind him.
Defensively, Forest were abysmal at times last season but the addition of Nikola Milenkovic alongside Murillo has aided the Reds in that area of the pitch, with Matz Sels on 13 clean sheets for the campaign.

With the season now approaching the closing stages, Rooney has been asked to pick his top five players in the Premier League for the 2024/25 campaign – and he’s raved about Morgan Gibbs-White.
After picking Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes as his number five pick, he then opted to put Gibbs-White in fourth, raving about his creativity and his ability to work hard for Forest.
He told Amazon Prime: “I think he’s had a fantastic season for Forest, he’s creating, scoring goals and been the main player in my opinion for them.”
Forest must try and keep hold of Morgan Gibbs-White this summer
The 25-year-old has been in fine form for Forest and with five goals and nine assists this season from 32 appearances in all competitions, it is no surprise that bigger clubs are circling.
Gibbs-White has been linked with Manchester City and as a result, Forest fans are growing anxious that the player might be the star player offloaded to fund a recruitment drive this summer.
If Forest reach the Champions League, however, there would be little need for Gibbs-White to depart the City Ground as he’d be playing regularly in the best club competition in European football.
However, it would be a serious worry for the Reds if it was Europa League football for next season, with Gibbs-White and Murillo being courted by clubs in higher echelons of the football pyramid.
For Rooney to come out and praise Gibbs-White, it speaks volumes on just how good the Forest player is and it’s vital that the club does whatever it takes to keep him around next season.
