Leeds United and Everton could be options for West Ham United’s Tomáš Souček in the summer window, according to Wednesday’s edition of MF Dnes.
The Czech Republic international played 907 minutes from 13 games since Graham Potter joined West Ham in January.
Souček was left on the bench in the defeat to Liverpool and played 10 minutes against Southampton. His playing time has been restricted since the start of this month.
The midfielder has a contract until 2027 and wants to remain loyal to West Ham. MF Dnes however warns that he won’t accept an ‘inferior’ role that Potter has handed him in recent weeks.
According to the newspaper, the 30-year-old suffers when on the bench, especially when West Ham aren’t doing well.
If his situation at the club doesn’t improve, he could be tempted to join Leeds or Everton in the summer. The report names the Whites and the Merseyside club as his interested parties.
Former West Ham manager David Moyes is at Everton and Souček can reunite with him at Goodison Park. This move could also help the player feature regularly next season.
Leeds will return to the Premier League and MF Dnes add they could be Souček’s serious suitor. They add his asking price shouldn’t be an issue for Daniel Farke’s side or Everton.
For now, Leeds and Everton are presented as logical options. It’s not given that he’ll leave West Ham, but Souček could consider a move if he continues to be a substitute.
