Jamie Carragher predicts ‘rare’ scoreline for Everton Vs Ipswich Town in the Premier League
Jamie Carragher expects lots of goals when Everton host Ipswich in the Premier League on Saturday.
Everton will play their penultimate game at Goodison Park before moving to the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium when Ipswich travel to Merseyside on 3 May.
Both teams have nothing to play for, as the Toffees have confirmed their place in the Premier League next season, while the Tractor Boys are dropping down to the Championship.
However, David Moyes will be determined to give the Everton fans another memorable evening ahead of bidding adieu to their iconic stadium in L4.
Carragher predicts scoreline of Everton v Ipswich
As always, Carragher has predicted the results of six Premier League matches from the upcoming gameweek for Super6, with Everton among those who are featured this time.
The Sky Sports pundit expects a few upsets this weekend, tipping Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United to drop points.
However, he expects the Toffees to have no trouble claiming all three points against Ipswich, as he predicted a 3-1 victory in the hosts’ favour.
Everton fans will love Carragher’s prediction for the upcoming game against Kieran McKenna’s side, especially as it would be a rare result for them.
It is worth noting that the Merseyside-based club have only scored three or more goals on three occasions in the Premier League this season.
Moyes’ side have not scored three or more goals since firing four past Leicester on 1 February.
Likewise, Everton have won only three league games with a margin of two goals or more.
Moyes eye Goodison Park joy
Everyone associated with Everton will hope that Carragher’s prediction proves true.
The Toffees have won only one of their last nine games and it is imperative that they return to winning ways in their penultimate game at Goodison.
Moyes’ side have not won at home since their 4-0 win against Leicester in February.
