Leeds United are considering a move for Djordje Petrovic, the Chelsea goalkeeper who has spent the season on loan at Strasbourg, according to TEAMtalk.
Leeds will be playing in the Premier League once again for the 2025/26 season, having succeeded in winning promotion from the Championship at the second attempt under manager Daniel Farke.
Farke’s future at Elland Road has been confirmed, meaning the club will no longer have questions asked about their manager ahead of the new campaign and Leeds can focus on transfers. As a newly-promoted side, the Whites must invest heavily if they hope to buck the recent trend of fresh Premier League sides being relegated in their first season.
Much has been said about the goalkeeping options at Leeds. Karl Darlow was admirably reliable for the club in their final matches of the campaign, the Welsh international being called up to replace Illan Meslier after the Frenchman made a string of key errors across the season.
It is likely that Darlow returns to his position of back-up for Leeds in the Premier League, meaning the club will look to sign a new shot-stopper to replace Meslier, who seems unlikely to play at Elland Road again. It would now appear that the club have a name in mind to bolster their goalkeeping options.

As TEAMtalk have reported, Leeds are weighing up a summer move for Djordje Petrovic. The 25-year-old, who has been a Serbian international since 2021, joined Chelsea in 2023 from New England Revolution in the MLS.
Under the management of Liam Rosenior, Petrovic has been a consistent player in a Strasbourg side that are pushing for Champions League qualification. Petrovic has been called “world-class” for his form in France, with Strasbourg having been able to constantly rely on him.
Petrovic is no stranger to Premier League football which, combined with his showings this year, would make him a shrewd addition from Leeds. At just 25 years old, Petrovic could feasibly be playing in the top flight for almost a decade, something that would only incentivise Leeds further to sign him.
