Matheus Cunha has been strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United.
Cunha looks to be one of the most in-demand Premier League players around at the moment, having shone for Wolverhampton Wanderers despite an often difficult season for the Molineux club.
Newcastle are strongly interested in Cunha, albeit they are not the only club keeping a close eye on his situation.
Indeed, Manchester United are also being tipped as a potential landing spot for the 25-year-old.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have been the main competition for the Old Trafford giants in the race to sign Cunha.
However, the Red Devils are reportedly edging closer to signing the former Atletico Madrid player ahead of the Toon Army despite their interest.
Interestingly, the report adds that Newcastle were planning to use Cunha on the left of their attack, which is fairly surprising to read.
The left wing is arguably one of the stronger positions in the Newcastle United squad, with Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon currently locked in a battle for a starting berth.
Does Matheus Cunha have a release clause?
Cunha has a release clause worth £62.5million in his Wolves contract, making him readily available for any team looking to buy him.
That would make Cunha one of the biggest purchases in Newcastle history.
Alexander Isak is Newcastle’s record signing at £63million, so Cunha would instantly become their second-most expensive player ever if he were to join at that huge price.
While certainly a good player, quite why they’d want to spend so much money, only to deploy him in a position where they are well-stocked is up for debate.
If that was the plan all along, perhaps the idea of Manchester United landing him instead shouldn’t sting quite so badly.
