Conor Washington’s time at Derby County is set to come to an end after it was claimed he will leave the club this summer.
The Belfast Telegraph reports that he has not been offered a new deal for when his current contract runs out this summer.
The 32-year-old has not kicked a ball for the Rams in the Championship all season and was not included in their EFL squad list when he was making his way back from injury in the second half of the campaign.
He is now set to leave the Rams and ends what has been a disappointing spell at Pride Park where he has managed just 22 games and three goals since signing from Rotherham two years ago.
Brought to the club by previous head coach Paul Warne, Washington did help the club to promotion last season, scoring in wins over Burton Albion, Northampton Town and Exeter City.
But his time at Derby has not been helped by injury and he damaged two ankle ligaments while he was on international duty with Northern Ireland in 2023.
That required surgery, although he did return for the back end of the campaign as the Rams sealed promotion back to the Championship.
Further injuries disrupted his progress this season and Washington, who has 43 caps for his country, has not made one appearance in the second tier. His last game for Derby came in a 3-0 win over Leyton Orient in April last year.
His impending departure comes as the Rams prepare to overhaul their attack this summer. Jerry Yates will return to Swansea after his loan and that leaves Dajaune Brown and Lars-Jorgen Salvesen as the only two strikers at the club, both of whom are coming back from injury themselves.
