REPORT: Leeds enter talks to sign ‘unplayable’ star as 49ers prepare to spend £100M+ budget
Tottenham Hotspur have been told by Leeds United that they want to make their loan deal for Manor Solomon permanent in the summer transfer window – with Daniel Farke keen on keeping the core of his centurion title-winning squad together in the hopes of staying in the Premier League this season.
Solomon contributed greatly to their campaign, reaching double figures for the season in the Whites’ last-gasp 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle on the final day of the season, which saw them pip Burnley to the Championship title and reach 100 points. Clearly a fan favourite, it’s no surprise to see Leeds hope to sign the Israeli – though they’ve now learned the price tag it would take for his permanent signing.

The report by TBR Football states that Leeds have started talks to sign the 25-year-old winger permanently, and Tottenham have told the West Yorkshire club that they want ‘close to £20million’ to land the Israeli trickster if they are to part ways with him.
However, Leeds hope to land their fan favourite on a permanent deal for closer to £15million, which could see a potential stand-off between the two clubs heading into the summer transfer window for the ‘unplayable’ star. Leeds are set to spend over £100million this summer, with new owners 49ers Enterprises wanting to establish them as a Premier League club, and Solomon will be one of their freshest purchases.
Spurs will allow the former Fulham loanee to leave this summer, and because he arrived as a free agent from Shakhtar Donetsk amid a FIFA ruling that allowed players in Ukraine to move amid the conflict with Russia, he’ll be seen as ‘pure profit’ on their PSR books too – which is something that Daniel Levy won’t turn his nose up at.
Everton are also thought to be interested, and teams on the continent would also like to sign the winger, but his time at Leeds could play a huge part in trying to confirm his future at Elland Road, with the report further stating that Solomon’s current preference is to seal a permanent move under Farke to realise his Premier League dream once again next time out.
Solomon joined Marco Silva’s Cottagers on loan in the 2022/23 campaign, scoring four goals from 19 games in the Premier League in his debut campaign in England, before joining Spurs – though he only made five appearances in the top-flight before being shipped out to Elland Road.
