Wolves ready to pull trigger to beat Eintracht Frankfurt to 22-year-old midfielder’s signature
It’s shaping up to be an incredibly busy transfer window for Wolves and Vitor Pereira.
With Matheus Cunha set to depart Molineux, and multiple first-team stars out of contract, Pereira and the Wolves owners will need to bring in reinforcements.
To that end, transfer plans are beginning to take shape ahead of the first summer window opening on June 1.
Indeed, Wolves are heavily linked with a midfielder currently playing in the Brazilian top flight, with a bid seemingly incoming.
Wolves to table £8.3m bid for Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araujo
As reported by Brazilian outlet Bolavip Brasil, Wolves will ‘formalise’ a €10m (£8.3m) offer for 22-year-old midfielder Evertton Araujo.
Pereira worked with Araujo during his time managing Flamengo, becoming a big admirer of the Brazilian.
As a result, the Portuguese has instructed Fosun to sign Araujo ahead of next season.
It looks as though the Wolves manager will be granted his wish, with the Old Gold set to table an opening offer.

They’ve had to act quickly because of interest shown by Eintracht Frankfurt, Bolavip Brasil also reporting that the Bundesliga side have ‘intensified’ their interest and sent club officials to make contact with Flamengo.
That is amid interest from sides in Spain, with Sevilla, Getafe and Villarreal keeping tabs on the youngster as well.
Evertton Araujo can join Andre Gomes and Andre as another success story from Brazil
The range of clubs interested in Araujo’s signature means he has choices about where his future lies.
Of course, the fact he’s worked with Pereira before might help swing things in favour of the Old Gold.
Alongside this, Araujo can take comfort from the fact that Andre and Joao Gomes have made the move to Molineux from the Brazilian Serie A in recent years.

After Pereira arrived at the club, both have thrived playing alongside each other in midfield, being vital to Wolves’ upturn in form.
Playing in midfield alongside one or both of his compatriots could therefore be an attractive proposition to Araujo, and may be an additional factor in his decision over the summer.
