Wolves ‘Make Contact’ to Sign £170,000-a-Week PL Star, He’s Open to the Move
Wolverhampton Wanderers have made contact with Victor Lindelof ahead of a potential summer transfer move, according to Caught Offside.
It has very much been a season of two halves for Wolves. Under Gary O’Neil, the club were conceding goals at an alarming rate and looked set for a relegation battle, which led to the Englishman being sacked in December. In replacing O’Neil, Wolves brought in the Portuguese Vitor Pereira.
Since Pereira’s arrival, Wolves have been an entirely different team. He has guided Wolves well away from the bottom three in the Premier League and while they will hope for a more convincing overall season in the 2025/26 term, that should take nothing away from the work that Pereira has done.
With the campaign nearing its end, Wolves understandably have an eye on the upcoming summer transfer window. Wolves have already been linked to a number of targets and may be set to push for an experienced defender to reinforce their backline.
Wolves Want to Sign Lindelof

As per Caught Offside, Victor Lindelof is a target of interest for Wolves. They have reported that Lindelof, whose £170,000-per-week contract with Manchester United is set to expire in the summer, is keen to remain in England, something that he would be able to do were he to move to Molineux.
Though he never reached an elite level with the Red Devils, Lindelof has been a faithful servant to the club that he joined in 2017, having racked up over 200 appearances in the eight years he has spent at Old Trafford. With new signings Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui having played at centre-back under Ruben Amorim, however, it seems that Lindelof has no consistent place in the first-team at Man United.
Wolves play with three centre-backs under Pereira meaning that, in theory, Lindelof would find starting minutes easy to come by. The club’s struggles with money in recent years have been well-documented, so a free signing would suit them well. In Lindelof, Wolves would be signing an experienced Premier League defender as they look to build on a brilliant end to the 2024/25 term.
