BREAKING: Oxford United in advanced talks over triple January swoop as Luton, Swansea & Wisła Płock targets emerge

Oxford United are reportedly in talks to sign a number of defenders as the January transfer window enter its final days.

The U’s have brought in five new additions already this month in a busy first couple of weeks which also saw the appointment of new head coach Matt Bloomfield.

Permanent signings in Myles Peart-Harris, Jeon Jin-woo, and Jamie McDonnell have arrived in OX4 alongside a duo of loan signings in Yunus Konak and Jamie Donley.

After a quiet past week, Bloomfield has confirmed that he is expecting further movement both in and out of the club before Monday’s 7pm deadline.

According to reports from journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk, Oxford are pushing to sign centre back Andrias Edmundsson from Polish club Wisla Plock.

The wide player is reportedly keen on returning to a Championship club with multiple teams from the division interested.

Reports from Football League World have emerged regarding interest in Swansea right back Josh Key from the U’s.

The publication says that a deal to take the 26-year-old on loan has been tabled after the former Exeter City man has slipped down the pecking order under boss Vitor Matos.
