
CLUB STATEMENT: Star departs Oxford United
Oxford United can confirm that striker Nik Prelec has completed a permanent transfer to Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok.
Nik initially arrived at the Kassam Stadium on loan during the summer of 2025 and quickly became a valued member of the first-team squad. His commitment, professionalism, and work ethic earned him the respect of teammates, coaches, and supporters alike, leading the club to activate the option to make his move permanent in February.
Throughout his time in yellow, Nik represented Oxford United with determination and humility. While opportunities in front of goal were limited, he remained dedicated to the team’s objectives and contributed positively whenever called upon. His memorable goal in the 3-1 victory over Bristol City provided supporters with a highlight that reflected his persistence and quality.
