Wrexham Readying £7m Bid to Sign Sunderland Star
Wrexham are reportedly ready to make a £7 million bid to sign a Sunderland star in the summer transfer window.
The Championship club could look to make some ambitious signings in the summer as they aim to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Now it’s about getting over the line and climbing into the top division, and they’ll need reinforcements if they want to do so.
Wrexham readying £7m bid
According to a report from journalist Alan Nixon, Wrexham are now making a bid to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson in the summer transfer window.
The Welsh club are now hoping to agree a deal with the Black Cats, either on loan or in a permanent deal, for £7 million.
Wrexham would be willing to pay the £7 million fee, but they would prefer a loan-to-buy arrangement.
They have faced competition for a signature from Millwall, Rangers and Wolves, but it seems some clubs are put off by the asking price.
Patterson has fallen out of favour at Sunderland, so a departure in the summer transfer window would make sense.
He spent some of last season on loan at Millwall in the Championship, getting a taste of first-team football once again.
Wrexham eyeing goalkeeper alternative
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Wrexham are also interested in signing Everton goalkeeper Mark Travers.
The Welsh club faces competition from Premier League side Coventry City, but it could be an easy deal for them to do if he’s keen on the move.
Travers has a £4 million release clause in his contract, and he could be considering a move in the summer after failing to break into the Everton side.
The Republic of Ireland international failed to play a single minute in the Premier League for Everton last season, following his move from Bournemouth.
Travers has the difficult task of competing with a goalkeeper as good as Jordan Pickford, so a move in the summer might make sense for all parties involved.
