BREAKING: Stockport County FC have completed the signing of ‘phenomenal’ 20G/A star
Stockport County have reportedly won the race to sign Chelmsford City attacker Jason Adigun, fending off interest from a host of League One and Two clubs to secure the non-league star’s signature.
The 22-year-old had a stellar season in the National League South, scoring eight times and assisting twelve times for the Clarets in a campaign that put EFL clubs on alert this summer.
Despite all the interest, it looks as if this transfer saga is over, as a League One powerhouse side is set to add him to their attacking force ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Stockport to Land Adigun
According to Pete O’Rourke, Stockport County have agreed a deal to sign Chelmsford City star Jason Adigun, fending off interest from other EFL clubs.

He will join an already talented attack in Greater Manchester, as they attempt to push for promotion after their playoff final heartbreak at Wembley Stadium against Bolton Wanderers last season.
Can He Make the Step Up?
The jump from the National League South to League One is massive, with there being a huge gulf of quality between non-league and EFL football.
The 22-year-old showed a lot of promise throughout last campaign, and is still in the early stages of his career so has plenty of time to develop as he moves up the levels of the English pyramid. However, it will certainly take him time to adapt to the standards of the third tier of the EFL pyramid.
Although there will not be a lot of pressure on Adigun straight away, Stockport will be hoping that he can make an impact at the League One level as they look to finally get promotion after back-to-back playoff disappointments in their first two seasons in League One.
